Periya Pattaani Kurivi in Tamil (பெரிய பட்டாணி குருவி)
Resident. Widespread in hills of subcontinent. Black breast centre and line down belly , greyish mantle, greyish white breast sides and flanks, and white wing bar. Juvenile has yellowish white cheeks and underparts, and yellowish olive wash to mantle. Forest and well wooded country.
