Widespread resident. Smaller than jungle with finer bill. Pale or rufous fringes to tertials. Song is a rapid trill, tlick tlick tlick; calls include plaintive tee-tee-tee and nasal beep. Tall crops, reeds, grassland, scrub and tall grass, and mangroves.
