Indian Bushlark

Sivandha Irakkai Pudhar Vaanambaadi in Tamil (சிவந்த இறக்கை புதர் வானம்பாடி)
Resident. Stout bill, and rufous on wing; rufous buff on outer tail feathers, pronounced dark spotting on breast, dark spotting on ear coverts and malar region, and more uniform whitish underparts.Shows more rufous on wing than other bushlarks. Song is a tit-tit-tit followed by long drawn out tsweeeih-tsweeeih-tsweeeih. Stony scrub and fallow cultivation.
