Jerdon Pachai Sittu in Tamil (ஜெர்டான் பச்சை சிட்டு)
Resident. Nominate has blue wing panel and sides to tail in all plumages. Male has smaller black throat patch than golden fronted, with yellowish forehead. Female nominate has bluish green throat and turquoise moustachial stripe; juvenile has greenish head with hint of turquoise moustachial. Female and juvenile have yellowish border to turquoise throat. Open forest and well wooded areas.
