Sempazhuppumudhugu Keechchaan in Tamil (செம்பழுப்புமுதுகு கீச்சான்)
Widespread resident. Adult has black forehead and mask contrasting with pale grey crown and nape, deep maroon mantle, whitish rump, and white patch at base of primaries.Juvenile first year like washed out version of adult; lacks black forehead. Open dry scrub, and bushes in cultivation.
